Pregnancy and weight gain go together. There is no such thing as a pregnancy without weight gain. Gaining a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy through a healthy diet ensures that your baby is maturing and receiving all the vitamins and nutrients it needs to develop. Gaining a steady amount of weight throughout your pregnancy can help lower your chance of having hemorrhoids, varicose veins, stretch marks, backache, fatigue, indigestion, and shortness of breath during pregnancy.
Pregnancy is not a time for weight loss. Even if you were obese before you became pregnant, some weight gain is vital for the healthy development of your baby. If you are overweight or obese, or just concerned about healthy weight gain, be sure to discuss a healthy pregnancy diet and a target pregnancy weight with your doctor.
So, how much weight should you gain?
You should gain a steady amount of weight throughout your pregnancy. While many women struggle to gain weight in their first trimester due to morning sickness, and may even lose weight during that time, it is important to begin gaining regularly during the second and third trimesters. Contact your doctor if you experience any sudden weight gain or loss, especially in your third trimester, as it can be a sign of preeclampsia.
Recommended weight gain for women at a healthy weight before pregnancy is 25-37 pounds. If you were underweight before pregnancy it is recommended that you gain between 28 – 40 pounds, and if you were overweight before pregnancy you should try to gain between 15-25 pounds.
The best way to ensure that you gain a healthy amount of weight during your pregnancy is to listen to what your body tells you. If you are hungry, eat. If you are not hungry, don’t eat. It’s as simple as that. By eating healthy, nutritious foods you can be assured that both you and your baby are getting the nutrients that you need, and that you are not going to gain any unnecessary weight during your pregnancy.
Eating an extra 300 calories a day should be enough to ensure a healthy amount of weight gain. Try eating small frequent meals throughout the day. Be sure to include foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals as well as healthy sources of fat and proteins.
Most importantly, love you body! If you gain a little too much during these nine months, it’s not the end of the world. You can go on a post-baby diet when the time is right. Until then, enjoy those bigger breasts and that basketball round belly!

Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, happens to most men at one time or another, but is mostly common in older men and is associated with their aging process. Occasional impotence is not seen as a problem, however, when the problem occurs often enough, it can bring emotional distress to both the man and his partner.
What are the causes of impotence?
 Psychological causes – Impotence can be caused by psychological reasons such as fear, worry, stress, anger, depression and can be triggered by a lack of interest in sex or the sexual partner.
 Physical causes – Impotence can also be caused by physical triggers:
 Reduced amount of testosterone level – This can be treated with hormone therapy.
 Side-effect from medications – Medications that treat depression, heart disease, high blood pressure and epilepsy can cause impotence.
 Side-effect from medical procedures – This includes prostate and urinary tract surgical procedures.
 An injury to the groin or nerve damage to the area.
 Illness – Kidney or heart disease and diabetes can cause impotence.
 A reduced amount of blood flow to the penis – This is common among men who have hardening of the arteries.
 Substance abuse – Overuse of drugs, alcohol and tobacco are related to erectile dysfunction.

How can you treat impotence?

• Psychological solutions – When impotence is due to psychological causes then the best way to solve the problem is by confronting the issues with your partner and a professional. Being open about impotence will not only improve your situation with your partner, but it can also relieve your anguish over the situation.

• Physical solutions – Consult with your doctor or online medical expert about the many ED treatments on the market. If you are in poor health, a better diet and a lifestyle change may improve your erection quality and quantity. You may also want to consider taking an oral ED treatment like generic Cialis or BiggerX—two popular and affordable treatments available online.

The morning after pill is am emergency contraception to prevent pregnancy if a women has unprotected sexual intercourse (without use of contraception, contraception failure, or in cases of rape) and fears that she may become pregnant. The pill is a high dosage of the birth control pill and is recommended for use up to 72 hours (three days) after sex. However, the earlier you take it, the better it works when taken within 12 hours of unprotected sex.
There are three ways birth control pills are currently being promoted for this use: progesterone alone, estrogen alone, or both of these steroids together. The pills work to prevent pregnancy by preventing your ovaries from releasing an egg, and by altering the lining of the womb so a fertilized egg can’t embed itself there. The morning after pill is regarded as an emergency contraceptive and does not work as an abortive pill. It will not work if you are already pregnant.
Morning after pill can be obtained with a prescription from your general practitioner or directly from your online drugstore.
The morning after pill is not 100% effective, but the failure rate is quite low. It is widely used by:
 Rape victims
 Couples who have a condom break during sex
 Women who have had unprotected sex
The morning after pill is safe to use and the side-effects are very minimal. Only one in every 60 women actually vomits from taking the pill. If you do vomit within three hours of taking the pill, you should assume that its effects had been lost and you should retake the pill.

There are two types of herpes: cold sores and genital herpes.

l Cold sores, also known as fever blisters, kissing blisters or oral herpes, are considered a viral infection. These infections are called herpes simplex virus or HSV-1 and appear on the skin with a tingling feeling and are accompanied by some redness on the skin. Eventually, they become bubbly, reddish blisters on or around your mouth and lips.

You can get a cold sore from a number a ways. You could have gotten the cold sore virus which has been dormant for a number of years and then appears due to stress, or hormonal changes. Cold sores are contagious and can be spread when you come in contact with someone else with the virus. If someone has a visible lesion of signs of blistering, then do not kiss them or share a towel with them, to ensure that you won’t contract the virus from them.

l Genital herpes, also known as HSV-2, is a common, highly infectious disease caused by a virus that is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). Sores may appear on the vagina, penis, scrotum, buttocks or anus, and start out as red bumps that soon turn into red watery blisters.

Having a cold sore makes you feel very self conscious because it is visible to everyone, but rest assured that there are treatments to eliminate cold sores. Generic Zovirax (Acyclovir) Cream 5%, is a prescription antiviral cream for the treatment of recurrent cold sores in adults and adolescents. Although it does not cure cold sores and does not prevent transmission, it may zero in on your herpes and shorten the length of time you have them. Generic Zovirax (Acyclovir) is also used to treat genital herpes and reduces the pain and the number of lesions in the initial case of genital herpes. It also decreases the frequency and severity of recurrent infections.

In the quest for pleasing our partners, both men and women have been known to fake an orgasm once or twice. While over 50% of women admit to faking an orgasm, the figure with men is much lower, coming in at 23%. So why do we do it?

There are many reasons that people fake orgasms. The most common reason given is to please your partner. Other reasons given include not hurting your partner’s feelings, being bored of sex and wanting it to be over. So the reasons we fake orgasms often boil down to not hurting the person we are with. But is that a good enough reason?

The problem with faking an orgasm is that the reasons you faked it never come out into the open. If your partner isn’t pleasing you, but thinks he (or she) is, then they’ll just keep on doing whatever it is that they are doing because they think you like it. Which means that faking an orgasm can lead to you having a lot less fun in bed.

So what are the other solutions? Well, an open and honest talk about sexual arousal may seem like a hard thing to do, but if you trust your partner there is nothing to be scared of. They will (or at least they should) want to please you just as much as you want to please them. If you are too nervous to initiate a conversation, ask them what they like in bed – once they are done telling you what turns them on, you can go next. Giving physical signs when they are hitting the right spot is also a good idea – instead of faking an orgasm, just play it up a bit when you are enjoying what they’re doing, and they’ll keep on going.

If the reason that you are faking an orgasm is because you are having trouble having one at all, then there could be a medical reason behind it. If that is the case, speaking to your medical practitioner or using medications such as Viagra or Sure Romance could be a better long term solution.

The Morning After Pill has caused lots of controversy, and many women are confused about how it actually works and what it is meant to do. When can you take the morning after pill? Is the morning after pill the same as an abortion pill? Who can take the morning after pill? How and where can you buy it?

Simply put, the morning after pill is a way of taking advantage of nature’s timeline. Since in most cases, conception only occurs several days after sex, by taking the morning after pill during that window of time between sex and conception, you can hopefully prevent an unwanted pregnancy from ever taking place. This is different from what has become known as the “abortion pill” which actually terminates an already established pregnancy.

Here’s what you need to know about the morning after pill:

1. Morning after pills are generally considered safe.

2. The morning after pill is meant to be taken as a form of emergency birth control after a women has had unprotected sex. It is NOT an abortion pill; rather it works to prevent pregnancy.

3. The morning after pill is basically just a high dosage of regular birth control pills. Just like different birth control pills have different hormones in them, so do the different morning after pills.

4. The morning after pill should be taken within 72 hours of having unprotected sex. Some morning after pills include a second dose 12 hours after the first dose.

5. As with any medication, the morning after pill can cause some side effects including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue, dizziness, menstrual changes and headache.

6. The morning after pill claims to be more then 80 percent effective in preventing pregnancy after unprotected sex.

7. The morning after pill is available at most pharmacies, or you can buy the morning after pill online.

8. Women and girls over age 17 can usually buy the morning after pill without a prescription.

Believe it or not, both men and women can develop a sperm or semen allergy. That’s right, a man can actually become allergic to his own semen. Human seminal plasma hypersensitivity, can not only cause unpleasant symptoms, but can also contribute towards infertility. While this condition only affects 2% of fertile couples, it occurs in almost 25% of infertile couples.

While semen allergies in women have remained more of a mystery, men usually develop this allergy when their blood comes in contact with their sperm. This can happen following a vasectomy, infection, or trauma.

How does a semen allergy affect fertility? Simply put, a semen allergy occurs when the body’s immune system produces semen antibodies. The purpose of these antibodies is to disable the sperm from doing what it is meant to do, fertilize those eggs.

Symptoms

Most men who suffer from a semen allergy probably would not experience any symptoms except infertility. Women, however, can experience a range of symptoms much like any other allergic reaction. These include burning, redness, swelling, itching, etc. If you think you many be suffering from a sperm allergy, discuss your concerns with a doctor, as many of these symptoms can also be a result of STI’s or infection.

Fertility Treatments

Couples who are diagnosed with semen allergies will usually choose to try fertility treatments including:

1. Protein Desensitization. Women can be skin tested to identify exactly which protein in her partner’s sperm is causing the allergy. She will then be injected with that protein in higher and higher concentrations to desensitize her body.

2. Semen Desensitization. In this treatment, rather then isolating a particular protein, diluted seminal fluid is inserted into the vagina at higher and higher concentrations in an effort to desensitize the vagina.

3. Artificial Insemination. By removing the offending protein from the sperm, and then artificially inseminating, the allergy can be bypassed all together.
